Occupational First Aid Level 2

Occupational First Aid Level 2 is a week long program designed to further first aid training and knowledge. The OFA Level 2 course is suitable for people in these industries: large building construction, large manufacturing, large road construction and flagging.

No prior first aid knowledge required to attend this course. All students must be at least 16 years old and be able to physically perform first aid.

The OFA Level 2 course will cover the following topics:

  • The role and duties of an Occupational First Aid Attendant
  • Scene assessment
  • Primary survey
  • Airway assessment with C-Spine control
  • Breathing assessment
  • Circulatory assessment
  • Secondary survey
  • Vital signs
  • History-taking
  • Head-to-toe examination
  • Operate oxygen therapy equipment and insert oral airways
  • Medical emergencies
  • Skin and soft tissue anatomy and function
  • Management of soft tissue injuries

OFA Level 2 Course cost : $625.00

Day Class: 8:00am to 4:00pm – Monday to Friday. All courses include books. There are no taxes on the courses. Companies should refer to WorksafeBC (formally WCB) OHS Guidelines G#17 to determine level of first aid for your business. Schedule 3-A for minimum level of first aid.
